News 21 04 2019 3Deputy Premier and President of the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, has sent a cable of congratulations to the President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Prof. Dr. Riyad Yussif Hamzah.

The deputy premier congratulated Prof. Hamzah on the UoB’s ranking 213rd globally according to the Times Higher Education (THE)’s World University Rankings.

The UoB was ranked 213rd in THE’s list of the 500 most influential universities in the world.

The milestone is in recognition of UoB President’s efforts to improve the academic level of UoB and consolidate its role in graduating competencies who contribute to the nation’s building and progress in various fields, the deputy premier said, extending sincere congratulations to all UoB affiliates.

UoB President expressed the UoB’s pride in the Deputy Premier’s kind gesture, stressing that his directives have contributed to UoB’s success in reaching the highest levels.

He added that the UoB’s ranking as 213rd in the THE’s ranking was the fruitful outcome of its commitment to its development plan which was discussed by the Supreme Council for the Development of Education and Training.
