Summary:

The peer observation of teaching process provides both the observee and the observer with the opportunity to mutually enhance the quality of their teaching practice. It is a cyclic process and is reciprocal. Through this workshop, participants will be trained to conduct a complete PoT cycle in a proper way that will eventually lead them to achieve its outcomes. If done properly it would provide an opportunity to disseminate good practice amongst colleagues by sharing thoughts on teaching practice and supporting each other’s development of teaching skills. For that reason, participants need to attend the whole session for them to be able to apply it in a successful way.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Realise the value of POT in enhancing teaching and learning
  2. Be able to identify areas of improvement in your own practice
  3. Be able to provide constructive feedback to your colleagues
  4. Be able to implement a POT cycle with a colleague
