Short Bio:
Zainab Mohammed Redha has been assigned as the coordinator of the CPD program offered by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) at the University of Bahrain (UoB) in September 2017. She has been a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) UK since August 2017.

Zainab has been involved in faculty development initiatives at the UoB since she completed the Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice Program (PCAP) in 2010. She assumed several roles in relation to the PCAP program. She was initially a mentor on the program when it was offered in collaboration with the York St. John University in UK from 2011 to 2012. In 2013, she was assigned as a member of a PCAP-UOB committee, where she worked with the team to design a PCAP program to be delivered entirely by UoB staff. This program was successfully accredited by HEA and was delivered to the UoB academic staff in 2013. Until 2017, she was a lecturer in the PCAP-UoB program and currently she is the coordinator of the CPD program. Zainab is also active in several other committees such as the peer observation of teaching committees, and teaching enhancement committee and the organizer of the 1st Symposium on Teaching Transformation through Action Research.

Zainab is also an assistant professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, which she joined in 2001. She teaches Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering Laboratory, Analytical Instrumentations, and Sensors and Transducer. Her research interest is miniaturization and microfabrication, nanotechnology, dye degradation and water treatment, as well as electrochemical analysis.
