  • Requirements for the graduate studies programs’ applicants:

What are the admission requirements for the Graduate Studies programs?

The admission requirements for the applicants of the Graduate Studies program as follows:

  1. Pass the personal interview held by the department successfully.
  2. A recommendation from two faculty members at the university from which he graduated.
  3. ‌Succeed in the written tests offered by the department.
  4. A score of (500) in TOEFL, or (6) in IELTS or equivalent to a degree determined by the University Council. [Is there anything that is certified other than these two certificates?], provided that the validity of these two certificates must not exceed two years.

The student may take less than (3) courses in one semester only once during his whole academic study period. The background courses are excluded from the minimum, or if the student has only one course left from the program’s courses.

What is the language of the program?

The language of the Graduate Studies programs is divided into programs taught in Arabic, which are the programs of the College of Arts (Arabic Major, Media, and Psychology), except for the English Major and the College of Law programs. Whereas the rest of the colleges’ programs are taught in English.

Where does the study take place?

All programs are held at the university's main campus in Sakhir, except for the College of Engineering programs, which are held at the other university's campus in Isa Town.
