• B.Sc. in Public Health (Direct)

The program aims to train future leaders of public health who will serve with social responsibility, and advance health of the population locally and regionally, through knowledge, policies and practice of public health, and solve the public health challenges of the 21 st century. The four year B.Sc. in Public Health (Direct) program of 8 semesters with a total of 127 credits will be offering advanced English, basic science courses and professional public health courses with a graduation project and internship.

  • B.Sc. in Public Health (Completion)
The two years B.Sc. in Public Health (Completion) program of 4 semesters with a total of 63 credits would enhance the technical skills as well as foster research activities of the Associate degree holders in public health which are essential requisites in the rapidly advancing field of public health. The graduates would be in line with the International standards and meet the required competencies for public health professionals by taking the advanced English, basic science courses and professional public health courses with a graduation project and internship.

The graduates of the B.Sc. in Public Health will be able to:

  2. Assess and prioritize individual and community health needs.
  3. Conduct routine and emergency inspections and apply control measures in the areas of operation.
  4. Implement the PH laws and regulations governing PH programs.
  5. Apply analytical tools to define and describe PH challenges.
  6. Lead PH teams utilizing communication and management skills.
  7. Read and evaluate research findings from medical, PH, and social science journals.
  8. Demonstrate inquisitiveness and creativity in solving PH challenges through lifelong learning.
  9. Apply ethical principles in the collection, maintenance, use and dissemination of data and information.
  10. Adhere to professional conduct protocols and demonstrate social responsibilities.
