A University of Bahrain professor explores supporting digital entrepreneurs in the Kingdom
Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Noora Hassan Al Ghatam, discussed the importance of “collaboration to support digital entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of Bahrain” during the “Impact of Information Technology on Development” conference, organized by the International Federation for Information Processing on Friday (May 28, 2021).
Dr. Al Ghatam presented the role played by various sectors of Team Bahrain in establishing and managing the (Startup Bahrain) platform to create a community of entrepreneurs aimed at building competence and growth and connecting with international experts to disseminate advanced concepts and introduce a new concept of entrepreneurship as a means for sustainable development.
Startup Bahrain is considered a digital platform and a database of information for entrepreneurs, investors, private companies, and relevant institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Participants at the conference discussed ways of collaboration through digital platforms between developed and developing countries, e-commerce, electronic health systems, and forming an entrepreneurial community and communication with international experts to disseminate advanced concepts and establish a new concept of entrepreneurship as a means for sustainable development.
