Education Minister, Saudi Counterpart visit Bahrain Teachers College

Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain (UOB), and Yousef bin Abdullah Al Benyan, Minister of Education of Saudi Arabia, visited Bahrain Teachers College to review its administrative and academic operations in preparing Bahraini teachers and educational leaders.
The visit was attended by Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of UOB, and Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of the College.
The Saudi Minister was briefed on the college’s establishment, goals, and academic programmes. He commended its role in advancing education, its impact on school teaching, and its efforts to attract graduates and prepare them as future teachers in various fields. He also noted the college’s focus on training current teachers and developing educational leaders in partnership with leading international universities.
Dr. Juma emphasised that since its establishment in 2008 as part of the National Education and Training Development Project, Bahrain Teachers College has successfully supplied schools with highly qualified national professionals. He attributed this to its advanced academic programmes and partnerships with renowned global institutions such as Boston University and Harvard University.
