In line with enhancing performance, services, and aligning strategic plans UOB Attains International ISO Accreditation for its Administrative System

The University of Bahrain (UOB) has been awarded the international ISO certification (ISO 9001:2015) for its Administrative Quality Management Systems, in accordance with internationally recognized standards, by the granting body ROYAL CERT. Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, received the certificate at the university’s campus in Sakhir.

Dr. Al Ansari congratulated the academic and administrative bodies on this occasion, acknowledging the efforts both entities have dedicated to providing their best, which contributed to this achievement.

ISO standards are fundamental global benchmarks for quality, issued and maintained by the International Organization for Standardization. The ISO certificate is an acknowledgment that the institution fulfills specified international quality requirements, which enhances its credibility with stakeholders and serves as a mark of assurance.

On this occasion, Dr. Al Ansari stated that UOB has met the requirements to obtain this global certification for the quality of its administrative system for the next three years, noting that the administrative body has worked to improve service performance.

Dr. Al Ansari added that earning the international ISO certification reflects the university’s commitment to achieving international standards. He noted that the university consistently reviews its strategic plans, which include the administrative system, to elevate educational outcomes.

For his part, Mr. Mohammed Khurram Babar, Director of ThinkProx, praised UOB’s efforts that resulted in this international accreditation once again, commending the ongoing development witnessed in the university’s institutional and service systems.

The University of Bahrain first earned this ISO certification in 2022. Its successful renewal for a second consecutive year underscores the university’s ongoing commitment to global quality standards in enhancing its academic and administrative services. This milestone complements other international accreditations held by the university for specific academic and faculty development programs.

Attending the certificate reception were the following UOB representatives: Mr. Ahmed Ali Al-Siyadi, Director of the Human Resources Directorate, and Mr. Ali AbdulRahman Janahi, Chief of Human Resources and Head of the working group for implementing the Administrative Quality System “ISO”.
