University of Bahrain Secures Third Place in “Takafoa” Women’s Volleyball League
The University of Bahrain secured third place in the “Takafoa” Women’s League volleyball competition, organized by the General Sports Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain from 14 May to 14 June 2026. This achievement reflects the university’s commitment to supporting women’s sports activities and encouraging female students to participate actively in national sports competitions.
The University of Bahrain’s participation highlights its dedication to promoting a culture of sport among female students, developing their physical and social skills, and reinforcing the values of teamwork and positive competition. This aligns with the university’s efforts to cultivate well-rounded graduates who excel academically and physically.
The “Takafoa” Women’s League aims to enhance the participation of Bahraini women in sports and empower them to contribute effectively across various athletic activities. This is achieved through collaboration among the General Sports Authority, the Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports Committee, the Supreme Council for Women, the Ministry of Education, the Higher Education Council, and the relevant sports federations.
The league competitions saw broad participation from educational institutions and sports academies, as part of national efforts to widen the base of women’s involvement in sports, showcase female sporting talent, and strengthen the presence of women in all areas of sport across the Kingdom.
