The Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain (CIUOB) organized the Second Arab Region International Chinese Education Symposium, on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

The event was hosted by the Chinese Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) and co-organized by the University of Bahrain and the School of International Education at Shanghai University. It brought together scholars and educators from across the Arab region and China to discuss the latest trends and innovations in Chinese language education.
The event included an award ceremony honoring outstanding contributions to Chinese language education and cultural exchange, a presentation by teachers and students from CIUOB highlighting the Institute’s teaching achievements and innovations, followed by keynote speeches from four distinguished experts from China, Bahrain, Saudi Arabic and UAE, and concluded with a panel discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and future directions for Chinese language education and collaboration.
