University of Bahrain and “HOPALE” Discuss Cooperation in Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, received a delegation from the HOPALE Foundation, a specialized institution in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. The two parties discussed areas of cooperation and partnership opportunities.

Dr. Al-Mudhahki welcomed the delegation from the foundation, which provides non-profit services in the fields of prosthetics and rehabilitation, and praised the humanitarian and scientific work carried out by the organization. She stated:
“We are pleased to explore opportunities and prospects for partnership with the internationally renowned HOPALE Foundation through the university’s relevant colleges, which are active in the fields of biology, health sciences, and sports sciences.” She pointed out that “the Colleges of Science and Health & Sports Sciences at the University of Bahrain have published dozens of research papers related to orthopedic surgery, rehabilitation, and sports medicine.”

The delegation from the foundation – which is based in the Republic of France – included: CEO Benoît Dolley, Strategy Director Susanna Walz, Medical Director Dr. Frédéric Charlatte, and International Coordinator Adrien Mollen. The delegation expressed their pleasure at visiting the University of Bahrain and meeting with its president and several officials. They gave a comprehensive presentation on the foundation’s scientific, research, and specialized services, and highlighted areas of shared interest with the relevant colleges at the University of Bahrain, especially since the organization plans to offer its rehabilitation services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The French foundation’s delegation was accompanied by two representatives from the Bahrain Economic Development Board: Majid Al-Majed, Director of the Education Investment Development Department, and Ali Al-Khatib, Senior Officer at the board.

Representing the University of Bahrain at the meeting – in addition to the president – were:

  • Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, Vice President for Information Technology Services and Administrative & Financial Affairs

  • Dr. Mohammad Reza Qader, Vice President for Academic Programs and Graduate Studies

  • Dr. Mohammad Mostafa Al-Helou, Dean of the College of Science

  • Dr. Lina Mohamed Khanji, Dean of the College of Health and Sports Sciences

  • Dr. Yousef Sayyed Sharaf Al-Khabbaz, Faculty Member at the College of Health and Sports Sciences
