3rd Pharmacy Conference Explores Cutting-Edge Pharmaceutical Advancements & Features Experts from Europe and the Gulf

 

The Third Pharmacy Conference brought together experts from Europe and the Gulf to discuss the latest advancements in pharmacy and medicine. Participants explored these issues through 40 specialized lectures and workshops. His Excellency Lieutenant General Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, and Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, along with several officials from the health sector and higher education attended the conference.

 

Around 700 pharmacists and healthcare professionals from across Bahrain and beyond participated in the conference, which was organized by the Bahrain Pharmacists’ Society in cooperation with UOB’s College of Health and Sports Sciences.  Held under the theme “Innovation and Sustainability in Pharmacy,” the event underlined the role of pharmacists in advancing healthcare quality and ensuring pharmaceutical security.

 

Dr. Huda Jawad, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, and Sherry Nasralla, Coordinator of the Pharmacy Program at the College of Health and Sports Sciences at UOB, presented a workshop on developing pharmacy education in Bahrain, and Prof. Adnan Bekhit gave a lecture on “Green Pharmacy”.

 

Pharmacy graduates from Bahrain and in GCC countries presented 17 scientific research papers during the conference. With support from eight strategic partners and 34 corporate sponsors, the event achieved both organizational excellence and program diversity.
