“Bahrain Teachers College” Celebrates World Arabic Language Day

The Bahrain Teachers College at the University of Bahrain celebrated World Arabic Language Day, observed annually on December 18.
During the event, Dr. Maha Abou Hamra delivered a lecture titled “Linguistic Security in the Age of Assumptions: Building Bridges or Threatening Identity?” while Prof. Abdullatif Abdelkader Aboubakr recited a poem titled “The Magic of Expression.”
The celebration also featured a speech by Zainab Al-Moamen, a visually impaired student, highlighting the importance of Arabic as the language of the Qur’an. Additionally, young student Nouf Basheer Al-Sharabi recited a poem titled “The Language of the Qur’an.”
A poetry competition was held for fourth-year students under the theme “Souq Okaz,” and preparatory-year students participated in a debate titled “The Battle for Survival.”
