In implementation of the Royal Directive… Bahrain Teachers College renamed as Mohammed Jaber Al-Ansari College of Teachers
In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the University of Bahrain announced the renaming of Bahrain Teachers College to Mohammed Jaber Al-Ansari College of Teachers, in recognition of Dr. Al-Ansari’s pioneering intellectual and cultural role locally and across the Arab world, and his distinguished contributions to various fields of knowledge.
On this occasion, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, expressed his great pride and honor at the issuance of the Royal Directive by His Majesty the King, to name the college responsible for graduating distinguished teachers—who undertake the upbringing, education, and intellectual development of future generations—after the eminent Bahraini thinker Dr. Mohammed Jaber Al-Ansari. Dr. Al-Ansari was a lecturer at the Higher Institute for Teachers in the 1960s, before becoming one of the most prominent Arab thinkers.
His Excellency also expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who laid the foundation for the establishment of this college as a pioneering project within the initiatives to develop education. He affirmed that the college has become a distinguished name synonymous with quality education in the preparation and training of teachers at both the local and international levels.
He further noted that Dr. Al-Ansari’s name will remain immortal in the Bahraini memory as a beacon of thought and culture, and that bearing his name on the college’s façade will establish him as a role model for generations and a source of inspiration for future teachers.
