Graduate Studies Deanship Organizes Three Scientific Workshops on Thesis Writing and Scientific Publishing to Enhance Students’ Research Skills
Azra Sayyed Abbas Al Mousawi, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at University of Bahrain, emphasized the deanship’s commitment to developing the scientific research skills of graduate students, enabling them to produce high-quality research and publish it in peer-reviewed academic journals.
Dr. Al Mousawi noted that organizing specialized workshops on a regular basis aims to achieve several objectives, most notably enhancing students’ research capabilities, familiarizing them with academic regulations and procedures, and following up on the progress of their theses and dissertations.
Recently, the deanship organized three scientific workshops presented by faculty members from various colleges across the university. The first workshop, titled “The Road to Publishing in International Peer-Reviewed Journals,” was delivered by Associate Professor of Information Technology at the College of Information Technology, Dr. Wael Mohammed Al Madani; Associate Professor of Accounting at the College of Business Administration, Dr. Abdulmohsen Mohammed Desouki; and Associate Professor of English at the Bahrain Teachers College, Hassan Mohsen Al Wadi.
The deanship also organized a workshop titled “Transforming a University Thesis into a Peer-Reviewed Scientific Article,” presented by Professor of Electronic Engineering at the College of Engineering, Prof. Ibrahim Abdullah Matar; Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at the College of Science, Dr. Hassan Manea; in addition to Associate Professor of English at Bahrain Teachers College, Hassan Mohsen Al Wadi.
The series concluded with a workshop titled “Using Academic Writing Style During the Thesis Writing Stage,” presented by Professor of Public Law at the College of Law, Prof. Mohammed Ahmed Abdelnaeem; Associate Professor of Psychology at the College of Arts, Dr. Ahmed سعد جلال; alongside Associate Professor of English at Bahrain Teachers College, Hassan Mohsen Al Wadi.
Dr. Al Mousawi also stressed the importance of strengthening communication with students and cooperating with various academic departments across the university’s colleges to address any challenges faced by graduate students.
