Admission Service in Completion Programs College of Health and Sports Sciences
A service offered to students who have already graduated from the Associate Diploma Program in one of the health programs at the College of Health and Sport Sciences, whether from the university of Bahrain or from other universities and educational institutions. They are admitted to the University of Bahrain to complete their bachelor’s study in the same program and in accordance with the university rules and regulations.
- Obtained an Associate Diploma in Nursing with a cumulative GPA of not less than 2.0 out of 4.0 from the College of Health & Sport Sciences, or from any other recognized university, provided that the applicant’s academic transcript is equated with the study plan of the Associate Diploma in Nursing at the College of Health & Sport Sciences, University of Bahrain.
- Applicants with an Associate Diploma in Nursing and a GPA below 2.0 may apply if they hold a Specialized Nursing Diploma (e.g., Midwifery, Community Health, Psychiatric, Emergency, or Cardiac Nursing) with a GPA of at least 2.0 and 93 completed credit hours. The transcript must be aligned with the study plan of the Specialized Nursing Diploma programs at the College of Health & Sport Sciences, University of Bahrain.
- A valid English language proficiency certificate from the University of Bahrain, or an IELTS score of not less than 5.0, or a TOEFL score of not less than 450.
- A valid license to practice the specialty from the health authorities, or any license from GCC countries.
- Note: Diplomas obtained from recognized educational institutions outside Bahrain will be evaluated by the relevant department at the University of Bahrain on a case-by-case basis.
- Study System:
- The program will be offered on a full-time basis at the University of Bahrain – College of Health and Sport Sciences campus.
- Students are required to sign a commitment to full-time study upon admission.
- The applicant must hold an “associate degree” in the specialization with a cumulative GPA of no less than 2.5 out of 4 from the University of Bahrain or any recognized university.
- The applicant must have an English language certificate (IELTS) with a score of no less than 5, and it must be issued within the last 3 years.
- A valid license to practice the profession in the field of specialization.
- At least two years of practical experience in the field of specialization.
- Pass personal interviews in the field of specialization.
- Submit an academic or professional recommendation (not from a family member).
- Note: Diplomas obtained from recognized educational institutions outside Bahrain will be evaluated by the relevant department at the University of Bahrain on a case-by-case basis.
- Study System:
- The program will be offered on a full-time basis at the University of Bahrain – College of Health and Sport Sciences campus.
- Students are required to sign a commitment to full-time study upon admission.
- For Diploma/Associate diploma graduates of the Public Health Program from the College of Health and Sport Sciences:
- Associate Diploma in Public Health with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 out of 4.00, obtained from the College of Health and Sport Sciences.
- For international students and graduates of other national academic institutions:
- At least two years of work experience in the field of specialization.
- Successful completion of a personal interview.
- A professional or academic recommendation letter.
- Applicants must hold a recognized Diploma or Associate Diploma degree, or an equivalent, from an accredited institution in the field of Public Health.
- The cumulative GPA must not be less than 2.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
- Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:
- IELTS score of 4.0 or higher.
- TOEFL (PBT) score of 398.
- TOEFL (CBT) score of 95.
- Or an equivalent English language proficiency test offered by the University of Bahrain, depending on program requirements.
- Note: Diplomas obtained from recognized educational institutions outside Bahrain will be evaluated by the relevant department at the University of Bahrain on a case-by-case basis.
- Study System:
- The program will be offered on a full-time basis at the University of Bahrain – College of Health and Sport Sciences campus.
- Students are required to sign a commitment to full-time study upon admission.
- A copy of a valid passport.
- A copy of a valid ID (non-Bahraini).
- Professional personal photo.
- No objection letter from the university to which the student belongs, for the following programs: Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiologic Technology (Diagnostic).
- Copy of university degree transcript and graduation statement.
- A copy of the high school transcript with a graduation statement.
- A copy of a valid residence permit for non-Bahraini students, (Except for GCC students).
- At least two years of practical experience for the following programs: Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiologic Technology (Diagnostic).
- Professional or academic recommendation letter for the following programs: Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiologic Technology (Diagnostic).
- A valid license to practice from the health authorities, for the following programs: Nursing, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiologic Technology (Diagnostic).
- A valid IELTS or TOEFL English certificate, According to the terms of each program.
- Special requirement for Kuwaiti and Omani students: A No Objection Letter must be obtained from the Cultural Attaché Office of their respective embassies in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Log in to the Student Information System (sis.uob.edu.bh).
- Click the Link (UOB Admission Requests).
- Click the link <strong”>“Apply for Admission of Undergraduate Programs”..
- Select the requested program from the “Request Type” list, Period of Apply for Undergraduate Program – Completion.
- Review the terms and condition, then click “ I Agree” to continue the application process.
- Enter the student CPR, then click Next.
- Enter the information in the “Basic Data” tab, then click Next.
- Enter the secondary certificate information in the “Secondary School Qualification” tab, then click Next.
- Enter the data of the University from which the student wants to transfer from (qualification type, qualification, specialization, country, university name, qualification date, classification type, GPA).
- Enter the required specialization information (College- specialization), then click Next.
- Enter the contact data in the “Contact Data” tab, then click Next.
- Upload the required documents.
- Pay Application Fees: non-refundable BD 10. The University ID will appear and application fee receipt will be provided through email, to keep.
- You can add or modify uploaded documents, as well as update your preferences, before the admission decision is issued by following the steps below:
- Go to the Student Information System (SIS) at sis.uob.edu.bh.
- Click the link “University of Bahrain Admission Application”.
- Select “Post-Application Services”.
- Enter the username (University ID number).
- Enter the password that was created when submitting the application
(Note: You can reset your password by clicking the “Forgot Password?) link and following the standard steps to reset it.) - After successfully logging in, applicants can update their information during the application period, or modify their data and upload the required documents after the final results are announced and confirmed, through the links available on the application page, as listed below:
