Addressing Higher Education’s Role in Driving Innovation Dr. Al-Ansari participates in QS Higher Ed Summit

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, participated in the “QS Higher Ed Summit: Middle East 2024,” held at the Gulf University for Science and Technology, Kuwait, from 20 to 22 April 2025. The summit focused on fostering a culture of innovation to improve the quality of education in the Middle East.

 

Dr. Al-Ansari took part in the “Opening Panel: State of the Region” on 21 April 2025. The panel, delivered by experts and university presidents, provided insights into the region’s educational landscape and highlighted Education 5.0 and the use of new technologies to provide more humanized teaching, with a focus on students’ social and emotional development.

The session addressed technological and industry changes reshaping education, as well as the challenges and opportunities universities face in driving innovation and collaboration at micro and macro levels.

 

The summit focused on key topics: Human centered learning in a tech-driven world, attracting talents in the new era, developing meaningful partnerships for skills gaps, metrics for a human-centered world, and the role of universities in developing future-ready graduates
