Theater Club Explores Fundamentals of Play Scriptwriting

The Theater Club at the University of Bahrain hosted a workshop focusing on the fundamentals of play scriptwriting. The session was led by renowned theater artist Mohammed Al-Hujairi.

During the workshop, Al-Hujairi discussed selecting impactful themes that resonate with audiences, structuring plots and creating dramatic tension, developing dynamic characters and authentic dialogue, and designing effective scenes and choosing between open/closed endings. He also clarified key distinctions between theatrical texts and literary works, providing students with a deeper understanding of scriptwriting as a unique art form.
