VISITING STUDENTS APPLICATION PROCESS
UOB welcomes all visiting students from other universities to study if the following conditions are met:
- The student shall be a regular student (Full Time Student) in a university recognized by the concerned authorities in the Kingdom.
- To submit an application with an approved candidacy by the competent authority at his/her university to study specific courses in one semester, along with an attested copy of his/her academic record, a copy of his/her passport, and his/her university card.
- The student’s registration in this capacity is not accepted, unless he/she has a vacant seat in the course to be studied after completing the registration, deletion and addition processes for university students.
- Foreign student – wishing to study as a visiting student – shall conform to obtaining a visa for entering the Kingdom of Bahrain and residing in it from the competent authorities. In case the student was not able to get a visa, his/her application will be considered invalid with no responsibility whatsoever to be upon the University.
- The student shall, at the time of registration, adhere to the payment of the tuition fees and any other fees.
- Acceptance of the student in this capacity does not consider a transfer to the University.
- An official academic transcript issued by the student’s home university and authenticated by the concerned authorities.
- A formal request letter accompanied by an authorized nomination from the concerned entities at the student’s home university to enroll in the specified courses for a single academic semester.
- A copy of the high school transcript, or its equivalent, along with the graduation certificate, certified and endorsed by the relevant authorities.
- A recent colored photograph.
- A copy of a valid passport, or proof of renewal if expired. For non-Bahraini and non-GCC students residing in Bahrain, a copy of a valid residence permit, or documentation of its renewal, must be provided.
- A valid identity card, or proof of renewal in the event of expiration.
- Login to the Student Information System website sis.uob.edu.bh.
- Select the Link “UOB Admission Requests”.
- Click on “Apply for Admission of Undergraduate Programs”
- Select from the “Request Type” list: Period of Apply for Undergraduate Program – Visiting Student.
- Review the terms and conditions and click “ I Agree” to continue the application process.
- Enter the student’s personal number CPR, then click Next.
- Enter the information in the “Basic Data” tab, then click Next.
- Enter the secondary certificate information in the “Secondary School Qualification” tab, then press Next.
- Enter the required specialization information (College- specialization), then click Next.
- Enter the contact data in the “Contact Data” tab:
- Enter your Email address,
- Enter your mobile number,
- Create a password (will be used later for other services after submitting the application),
- Complete the other required contact info,
- Press Next to move to the following steps
- Upload Required Documents.
- Pay Application Fees: non-refundable BD 10. University ID will appear on the receipt.
- The applicant can add or modify uploaded documents, as well as update your preferences, before the admission decision is issued by following the steps below:
- Go to the Student Information System (SIS) at sis.uob.edu.bh.
- Click on “University of Bahrain Admission Application”.
- Select “Post-Application Services”.
- Enter the username (University ID number).
- Enter the password created when submitting the application
(Note: the password can be reset by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link and following the standard steps to reset it.) - After successfully logging in, applicants can update their information during the application period, or modify their data and upload the required documents after the final results are announced and confirmed, through the links available on the application screen listed below:
- Update Application Information and Preferences.
- Modify Uploaded Documents.
