UOB IT students develop solutions in cybersecurity, AI, mobile apps, and IT
Students from the University of Bahrain’s College of Information Technology developed secure technical solutions addressing several issues, during the graduation projects exhibition for the 2024/2025 academic year, held on June 15, 2025, at the university’s Sakhir campus.
The students focused on addressing issues related to cybersecurity, digital forensics, encryption, intrusion detection, and biometrics.
The exhibition featured around 109 projects, designed and presented by fourth year students in: Information Systems, Computer Engineering, and Computer Science programs. Students provided practical solutions in AI, blockchain, IoT, mobile apps, gaming, and entrepreneurship, alongside ICT solutions developed with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lab at UOB.
Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, awarded winning and outstanding projects, joined by Mazen Mohammed Ali, Dean of the College of IT, and academic staff.
Projects were evaluated by a committee of College of IT professors and industry experts using standardized criteria. Graduation projects at the College of IT are gaining growing recognition from Bahrain’s labor market.
