University of Bahrain Confucius Concludes the 24th Chinese Bridge Competition
The University of Bahrain celebrated the winners of the 24th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Language and Culture Competition for foreign university students, under the slogan “One World, One Family”, on Thursday (June 15, 2025) at the university’s e-learning center.
At the local level, University category, student Dalal Eid Hamida Alammash, from University of Bahrain, won the title of “Bahrain Champion”, and will represent the Kingdom of Bahrain in the finals of the 24th China Bridge Competition in China.
The program of the Chinese Bridge Competition included three categories: Speech in Chinese, Talent Showcase, and Knowledge of Chinese Culture. Abrar Hussain Hameed from University of Bahrain won the first place, and the second place went to: Zainab Yaser Isa Abdullah Isa and Sara Ebrahim from the University of Bahrain and Fatima Muhammed from the Royal University for Women. Third place went to: Mariam Mohammed from the Royal University for Girls and Maryam Ebrahim from the University of Bahrain. Abrar Hussain Hameed from University of Bahrain won the most popular award through an online vote.
The ceremony was attended by Mr. Ni Ruchi Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Colonel Wang Tao, Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, Vice President for Academic Affairs, in addition to UOB deans and a number of officials from schools in Bahrain.
The ceremony included the participation of the winning school and university students through paragraphs: Tai Chi, Chinese folk dance, Bahraini and Chinese traditional wedding, Chinese painting and calligraphy, and poem recitation.
