University of Bahrain Organizes Seminar on the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP)

The Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Bahrain, organized a scientific seminar titled “Introduction to the International Road Assessment Programme (iRAP): Methodology and Applications in Road Safety”. The event was held in collaboration with experts from the University of Zagreb in Croatia and Saudi Tech Company.

 

During the seminar, students were introduced to key global methodologies and applications of the iRAP programme, which serves as an international tool for assessing road safety levels. The programme evaluates road networks through a star-rating system and develops practical strategies to improve infrastructure and reduce traffic accidents.

 

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Rashid Abdulrahman Ismail, Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering.

 

This event comes as part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of Engineering in collaboration with local and international partners, aiming to enrich students’ knowledge and connect them with the latest global expertise and best practices in road safety.
