UOB Engineering Students Explore Career Trends in the Private Sector

Engineering students and graduates at the University of Bahrain (UOB) gained insights into future career opportunities and industry trends during the “Young Engineers Integration Dialogue” Forum on 16 September 2025, held in collaboration with OMICRON electronics Middle East & Africa.

 

The 5th edition of the forum featured Dr. Fadhel Al-Basri, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; and Mahmood Al-Hayki, Director of Alumni Affairs, at UOB, as well as Mohammed Al-Saif, Regional Applications Engineer at Omicron electronics. The session was moderated by Ahmed El-Hamaky, Regional Manager at Omicron.

 

During the forum, students learned about the UOB’s key services offered to support its graduates’ professional and academic development. They also gained insights from alumni experiences in the College of Engineering, discussing the importance of graduates integrating into the sector, entering the job market, and current trends in recruiting engineers. The speakers provided valuable perspectives on post-graduation life and employers’ expectations from engineering graduates.
