UOB Hosts Open Library Day

The University of Bahrain Library hosted several leading companies in information technology and library systems during the Open Library Day held on Monday, 6 October 2025, at the library. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, with the participation of faculty members and students from various colleges. Open Library Day aimed to introduce students and researchers to the latest scientific and digital references, as well as specialized global platforms, to enhance the academic and knowledge-based role of the library and to support the University’s efforts in teaching, research, and innovation. Leading companies in information technology and library systems, including EBSCO, Elsevier, Springer, and Naseej, delivered presentations on their digital services and showcased the latest technological advancements that support education and scientific research. During the event, distinguished faculty members were honored in recognition of their outstanding contributions to research and scientific publishing, a gesture that reflects the University’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and strengthening a culture of research.
