UOB Team Wins Third Place at StartUp Bahrain Weekened

A student team from the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain won third place out of 47 participating teams in the StartUp Bahrain event, on October 9-11, 2025, highlighting the students’ excellence and their ability to transform ideas into innovative, actionable projects.

Students Ali Hassan and Sayed Mohammed Al-Mousawi, along with their team, achieved this recognition after taking part in the event organized by the American University of Bahrain (AUBH) in collaboration with the Investcorp Innovation Lab – Powered by AUBH. The event was held in the presence of H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of the Board of Mumtalakat Holding Company.

The team presented their project, Bestook, a weekly surprise dessert subscription service that delivers treats to homes without repetition or prior disclosure, an idea that combines creativity with entrepreneurial spirit.
