Simplified Explanation of Civil Law

“Sources of Obligation” Publication by Faculty Members at UOB’s College of Law

The book “Sources of Obligation” has been published as the result of a collaborative academic effort between Dr. Salah Mohamed Ahmed, Associate Professor of Civil Law and Dean of the College of Law, and Dr. Jameel Mohammad Bani Younes, Assistant Professor of Civil Law.

The book addresses a key aspect of the theory of obligation, which is considered the backbone of civil law. It showcases the most significant legislative, doctrinal, and judicial developments in the field of legal sources of obligations, namely: contracts, unilateral wills, unlawful acts, unjust enrichment, and the law. This is presented within a simplified legal framework that is accessible to law students, legal practitioners, and even the general reader, with utmost clarity and fluency.

The book is one of the most notable legal publications issued by the University of Bahrain’s College of Law, reflecting the college’s role and mission to serve the community. It underscores the college’s commitment to spreading legal culture, promoting legal awareness, and enriching the legal library with a specialized and contemporary work on the sources of obligation in Bahraini law.
