UOB Runs “Pink University” Breast Cancer Campaign

The University of Bahrain held several activities to raise students’ health awareness on breast cancer and the importance of early detection, as part of the “Pink University” campaign on Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The awareness campaign aimed to promote health awareness about the importance of early detection and encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles among students, academic staff, and administrative personnel.

The campaign included field visits to colleges and university complexes in Sakhir and Salmaniya over five days, along with educational booths, screening stations, and interactive competitions. The college also organized an extensive awareness exhibition, which featured a lecture by Dr. Sajeda Sabt on early detection, prevention methods, and psychological support, in addition to an inspiring story titled “Hope and Life” presented by Ms. Nouf Abdulaziz Al-Qattan, a breast cancer survivor.

The “Pink University” campaign events and accompanying awareness stories received great interaction from students, due to their impactful human and health lessons.
