Academia Joins Forces with Government to Shape National AI Law
In a strategic move to advance the nation’s digital legislation, three leading AI academics have been appointed to a public committee tasked with developing a national AI law. The appointed experts are Prof. Nabeel Mahmoud Jweihi (Computer Science), Dr. Fatma Abdulqader Al-Balushi (Computer Engineering), and Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim Sabah (Computer Science).
This partnership bridges the gap between cutting-edge research and public policy. The specialists will provide critical expertise to the government committee tasked with drafting the AI law and its applications at the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute, ensuring the future law is informed by the latest scientific knowledge.
