Protecting Intellectual Property Rights for Media Students

In collaboration with the Bahrain Intellectual Property Association, legal consultant Maryam Al-Omran delivered a lecture on 5 December 2024 to students enrolled in the Media Legislation and Ethics course, supervised by Dr. Shoaib Al-Ghobashi.

The lecture emphasized the significance of creativity and innovation, discussed the role of intellectual property law in protecting creators’ rights, and outlined procedures for registering intellectual and artistic works in Bahrain.

Students actively participated by asking questions regarding idea protection and patent registration.  The session concluded by reinforcing the importance of intellectual property awareness in empowering youth to contribute effectively to scientific and professional advancement.
