UOB of Students Convert Challenging Lessons into Educational Animations
Students from the University of Bahrain took part in “Edumation”, an innovative project within the “Principles of Animation” course, designed to channel students’ artistic skills into serving the educational process.
The initiative operates by having each student connect with a teacher from a public school to select a lesson that is considered difficult for students to understand, whether it’s in science, biology, mathematics, or other subjects. The student then transforms this lesson into an educational animated film, which helps simplify complex concepts.
At the end of the semester, these animations are screened for the school students and published on a dedicated YouTube channel. The videos are categorized by grade and educational stage, making them accessible to all students in Bahrain’s schools, who can benefit from them anytime and anywhere.
In this way, the university students not only gain practical experience in the field of animation but also contribute to enriching the digital educational content and advancing teaching methodologies in the Kingdom, making learning more enjoyable and effective for students across all academic levels.
