Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation Renews Agreement with University of Bahrain for Rayat Scholarship Program

Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF) announced the renewal of its agreement with the University of Bahrain (UOB) which stipulates the allocation of scholarships for undergraduate students.

The Rayat Scholarship Program covers university tuition fees, participation in workshops and developmental courses, and provides training opportunities in both the government and private sectors. Additionally, students receive financial incentives, opportunities for community service and volunteering, and participation in monthly educational and recreational meetings. Furthermore, they are issued a Rayat Card which offers numerous benefits to its holders.

MKF’s objectives primarily focus on supporting students and encouraging them to benefit from the various activities and initiatives provided, which contributes to honing their personalities at all levels so they can effectively contribute to the nation’s advancement. The Foundation has previously provided 302 scholarships, 225 of which were at the University of Bahrain, which in turn has consistently supported MKF’s initiatives since its establishment.

On this occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation, said: “I would like to start by expressing my sincere thanks to the University of Bahrain for their distinguished cooperation and efforts, which align with our endeavors aimed at empowering youth and developing their scientific and practical skills across various specialties and fields.”

Her Highness added: “The Rayat Program is in line with the Foundation’s vision to support Bahraini youth in achieving their dreams and ambitions with excellence while granting them the opportunity to complete their university education. This is done with the aim of creating an aware and educated generation, armed with science and knowledge, capable of facing challenges and effectively contributing to the society, driving it toward progress, development, and prosperity.”

In a related context, it is worth noting that the Rayat Program, launched in 2011, is a comprehensive program that allows students to enroll in one of the accredited universities in Bahrain, alongside offering numerous benefits, including financial incentives, workshops, and training opportunities in the government and private sectors, as well as many activities that foster the culture of social responsibility and volunteering among youth in a supportive and encouraging environment.

It should be mentioned that Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation is a non-profit organization, registered and licensed by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development in the Kingdom of Bahrain. It was established in 2011 with the goal of creating a positive social impact in the field of education and empowering Bahraini youth to reach their best potential by holding numerous workshops and courses to equip them with knowledge, skills, and expertise, which will bring the best results for them and for the nation.
