Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, participated in an open dialogue session at the third scientific conference, “The Maliki School of Thought and Its Impact on UAE Legislation in Light of Contemporary Needs and Developments.” The conference was held in Dubai on November 24-25, 2025, upon the invitation of the Imam Malik College for Sharia and Law and under the patronage of Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The UOB President’s participation is part of implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that the University signed with the Imam Malik College for Sharia and Law in the UAE in April 2025.
The University President was accompanied by Dr. Salah Mohammed Ahmed, Dean of the College of Law, and Dr. Dheya Abdulla Al Kaabi, Dean of the College of Arts.
This memorandum, signed by Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, and Prof. Abdullah Al-Himayari, Chief Executive Officer of the Imam Malik College for Sharia and Law, aims to facilitate cooperation and coordination between the two parties in the fields of Sharia, Law, and Islamic Banking. This will be achieved by providing concrete partnership opportunities, exchanging expertise and benefits, and engaging in joint coordination and cooperation in the framework of research and scientific publishing, academic programs, and the exchange of faculty members and external examiners for the external evaluation of academic programs.
