Bahrain Teachers College holds 14th graduation ceremony

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Bahrain Teachers College held its 14th graduation ceremony for 332 students at Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Hall, University of Bahrain (UoB), Sakhir.

The event was attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees.

Dr. Juma expressed pride in the support provided to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s education sector by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He highlighted the ministry’s and university’s support for the college in enhancing its programmes through partnerships with international educational institutions and adopting global best practices. He congratulated the graduates, their families, and the college’s academic and administrative staff, noting that the World Bank’s report recognising the college as a global model in teacher training reflects its advanced standards.  

On her part, Nawal Ibrahim Al Khater, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education and Chairperson of the College Board, emphasised pride in graduating a new cohort of teachers who will take on the responsibility of educating future generations, acknowledging the college’s efforts in developing students’ skills and instilling values of commitment and service.

Dr. Lucy Bailey, Dean of the Bahrain Teachers College, thanked the ministry for its support and the college’s board and staff for their contributions, congratulating the graduates on joining the teaching profession. She commended their academic achievements, perseverance, and resilience.

The event concluded with Dr. Juma presenting certificates to graduates of the Master’s in Educational Leadership from Boston University, higher diplomas in educational leadership, special education, and education, and Bachelor’s degrees in Education.
