UOB Hosts ‘Smart Success Plan’ Workshop for Future Leaders
The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Bahrain organized a training workshop titled “The Smart Success Plan,” presented by Osama Yusuf Al-Sayed, founder of the international company GO HIGH. The workshop was part of the Future Leaders Preparation Program for the 2025/2026 academic year, which aims to develop a leadership generation characterized by awareness, responsibility, and the ability to achieve their goals efficiently and innovatively.
The workshop covered practical topics on building a smart success plan based on identifying priorities and focusing effort on the most impactful tasks. This approach is grounded in the 80/20 principle, which focuses on achieving 80% of results through 20% of the most effective actions.
Al-Sayed also reviewed the key factors for success and leadership, as well as the steps for creating a comprehensive plan. These steps include defining a vision and goals, mental mapping, allocating time and effort, and continuous performance measurement, alongside the importance of self-motivation and conscious, consistent follow-up on implementation.
Students participated in interactive exercises to formulate their personal success plans. These exercises involved identifying priority tasks, setting realistic performance indicators, and designing a timeline to enhance productivity, with a focus on working smart rather than just working hard.
The workshop presenter emphasized that real success begins with a conscious and deliberate step, and that adopting positive thinking and effective habits contributes to achieving significant results with less effort.
Organizing this workshop falls within the Deanship of Student Affairs’ commitment to equipping students with modern leadership and managerial skills through the Future Leaders Preparation Program. This program includes a series of specialized workshops in creative thinking, decision-making, and personal and professional planning, all of which enhance the youth’s contribution to the nation’s progress and development.
