University of Bahrain Presents “Grandmother Cinderella” for International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The University of Bahrain presented the play “Grandmother Cinderella” to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, observed annually on 3 December.

The comedy explores the life of Princess Cinderella after her marriage, portraying her as a mother and grandmother while blending childhood memories with everyday realities. The events continue from where the classic fairy tale traditionally ends.

The play features University alumni and students with disabilities, highlighting UOB’s commitment to inclusive arts. It has participated in several international festivals and won first place for Best Performance at a festival in Egypt earlier this year, 2025.
