“The Art of Theater Acting” by Artist Ibrahim Khalfan at UOB

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Bahrain organized an artistic workshop titled “The Art of Theater Acting,” as part of its programs aimed at developing student talents in various artistic and cultural fields and preparing actors within the university to sustain theatrical activity.

The workshop was presented by director and theater actor Ibrahim Khalfan, one of the most prominent artists in the Bahraini theatrical scene, with distinguished experience in directing and acting in a number of local and Arab festivals. During the workshop, Khalfan focused on the foundations of preparing a theater actor capable of polished performance, through training in physical expression, elocution, and interaction with the theatrical text. He also introduced participants to the elements of a theatrical performance—the actor, set design, stage, lighting, and direction, and how they harmonize to create an integrated artistic experience.

This workshop was organized within the framework of the Deanship of Student Affairs’ commitment to reviving university theater arts as a space for creativity and free expression, and as a platform for developing communication skills and enhancing aesthetic and intellectual values among students.
