Dr. Mohammed Al-Mannai from “BISP” also participated, discussing the importance of protecting intellectual property in the musical field. He emphasized that music is a national heritage and an integral part of a people’s cultural and artistic fabric, while also reviewing the Society’s role and initiatives in this area. The dialogue and discussion were moderated by Saleh Essa, Advisor to the Music Club.
The session aimed to introduce students to the concept of intellectual property and its importance in safeguarding the moral and material rights of creators. It also sought to review the legal aspects associated with protecting musical compositions, artistic works, and modern industrial works that rely on technology in their production.
