UOB Students Discover Tools of a Professional Reporter

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Bahrain organized a training workshop titled “Reporter and Interviewer,” presented by Shaika Bukamal, Senior Student Activities Specialist. The workshop was part of the Deanship’s programs aimed at developing students’ skills in the fields of media and communication.

During the workshop, participants learned about the duties of a broadcast reporter, the professional qualities required for the role, the ethics of media work, and the key challenges reporters face during field coverage.

The workshop also covered rules of broadcast writing, fundamentals of news preparation, its sources and key elements, along with practical applications that helped students acquire skills in drafting and presentation.

This workshop is part of the Deanship’s ongoing commitment to providing specialized training programs that contribute to building students’ capacities and enabling them to enter the field of media work with professional skills.
