Part of a Government Initiative to Enhance Service Quality and Process Efficiency UOB Achieves 100% Digital Issuance of Graduate Certificates

As part of a government initiative to improve services, the University of Bahrain has fully digitized the issuance of the graduate certificates in both Arabic and English. The move simplifies procedures, speeds up processing, enhances the graduate experience, and supports the national digital transformation agenda.

Under the enhanced service, processing time has been reduced from 7 days to just one day, while the number of required approvals has been cut by 25%. The application steps have also been streamlined to just three steps: graduates submit their request through the national portal bahrain.bh, their data is verified in the system, and the certificate is printed featuring a QR code along with the electronic signatures of the Dean of Admissions and Registration and the University President.

In this context, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, stated that this service exemplifies the University’s commitment to innovative digital solutions. He emphasized that the initiative is designed to improve efficiency, save time and effort for graduates, meet digital transformation goals, and elevate overall service quality.

He added that the launch reflects a continued commitment to developing its services, enhancing their reliability and quality, and ultimately increasing the effectiveness of the entire operational system.

Notably, as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to develop and reengineer public services, over 1,300 services have been documented, translated, and published. Of these, 800 have been specifically upgraded across various sectors. These improvements are based on feedback from multiple channels: the national “Tawasul” system for suggestions and complaints, direct investor input, and mystery shopper evaluations.

Furthermore, the launch of official guidebooks and service level agreements has helped improve procedural efficiency, enhance service quality, create a better experience for beneficiaries, and advance the government’s digital transformation.
