UOB, Bahrain Polytechnic rated compliant with national quality standards

Manama, May 6 (BNA): The University of Bahrain (UOB) and Bahrain Polytechnic have been rated “compliant with the institutional review framework standards” by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA), following reviews conducted in coordination with the Higher Education Council.

Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Higher Education Council Board of Trustees, commended both institutions for meeting key standards covering governance, human resources, quality assurance, infrastructure, academic management, research, community engagement, and student services.

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the UOB, and Professor Ciar?n ? Cath?in, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, received the certificates from Dr. Maryam Mustafa, BQA CEO, in the presence of the Minister and Higher Education Council officials.

Dr. Maryam emphasised that the result reflects national institutions’ progress in promoting academic quality and continuous improvement. She noted that compliance with the National Qualifications Framework enhances public trust, supports labour market readiness, and strengthens Bahrain’s competitive academic sector.
