University of Bahrain Holds Interactive Workshop on Effective Use of Blackboard for Teaching
The University of Bahrain organized an interactive online workshop titled “Effective Use of Blackboard for Student Engagement and Assessment” on Thursday, March 26, 2026. During the workshop, the university presented a practical guide to using the Blackboard Ultra system for course management, student engagement, and assessment.
The workshop was delivered by Dalal Abdulkareem Ahmed, a lecturer at the University’s English Language Center. She addressed time-saving strategies in course management (e.g., using the Roster tool and Organizations feature for sharing instructional materials), enhancing student engagement through the interactive whiteboard, polls, and discussion forums, as well as strengthening assessment integrity using tools such as the Test Generator, Lockdown Browser, rubrics, and grade management features.
The workshop is part of a series organized by the University of Bahrain’s Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) to support the educational process.
