University of Bahrain signs MoU with the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association

The University of Bahrain signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) on 29 April 2026, to enhance academic, research, and awareness collaboration, supporting sustainable partnership and expanding areas of joint cooperation.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, and Eng. Matar Al-Dhufairi, Secretary General of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association.

The agreement includes cooperation in academic and educational activities, as well as the University’s participation in the Association’s conferences and events. It also provides access to self-learning resources and opportunities to engage in awards and initiatives. In addition, it includes organizing an in-person workshop for STEM students and collaboration in sustainability, capacity building, and community engagement.
