University of Bahrain Holds Workshop on Prompt Engineering and AI Agent Deployment

The University of Bahrain held an online workshop on Wednesday, 6 May 2026, titled “Towards AI Agents: The Art of Prompt Engineering and Agent Deployment.” The workshop was attended by faculty members and administrators from the University of Bahrain.

AI agents are autonomous software programs that perceive their environment, make decisions, and execute complex actions to achieve specific goals without continuous human intervention.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Abdulla Aldoseri, Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, who introduced participants to using Copilot in identifying logic gaps where prompts can undermine AI instructions, and to transitioning from basic prompt engineering to advanced defense strategies.

The workshop highlighted practical weaknesses in the performance of Large Language Models and trained participants on creating prompts and building AI agents, in addition to generating content and producing documents in multiple formats. Participants also explored practical applications for developing quizzes, surveys, presentations, and conducting data analysis.

Offered by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership at the University of Bahrain, the workshop comes as part of its ongoing commitment to developing the skills of the university’s members.
