University of Bahrain Holds “Tasami 8” Exhibition for Graphic Design and Fine Arts Students
The University of Bahrain held the eighth edition of the “Tasami 8” Exhibition, showcasing a selection of graduation projects by students of the Bachelor’s Program in Fine Arts and Graphic Design in the Department of Mass Communication, Tourism and Fine Arts at the College of Arts. The exhibition featured a collaboration between a number of Bahraini visual artists and students in the development of artistic works throughout the academic year. These works were also adapted into marketable products, highlighting the students’ creativity and entrepreneurial potential.
The exhibition included contemporary artistic and research-based projects exploring themes such as identity, memory, environment, the body, and place. It also featured works in oil painting, acrylics, black ink, and mixed media, as well as a range of artistic and applied projects by Fine Arts students. In addition, artworks by second-year students were displayed, reflecting advanced artistic skills and creative perspectives.
Graphic Design students also presented entrepreneurial projects supported by INJAZ Bahrain through its Company Program, which helped strengthen their skills in project marketing and entrepreneurship.
The exhibition was supervised by Dr. Abuelainin Mohammed Abuelainin, Assistant Professor in and Dr. Rana Abdulghani Al-Moallem, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication, Tourism and Fine Arts at the College of Arts.
