University of Bahrain Holds Strategic Psychological Projects Exhibition for Doctoral Students
The University of Bahrain held the first exhibition for the Strategic Psychological Projects course for PhD in Counseling Psychology students. The event was organized by the Department of Psychology at the university’s College of Arts.
The student researchers presented 25 strategic psychological projects covering a range of themes across therapeutic, preventive, counseling, and research areas. The students’ projects underwent benchmarking and feasibility studies, and marketing plans were developed for them. Some student researchers obtained registration certificates for their projects from internationally accredited intellectual property bodies.
The student researchers received training in the fundamentals of localizing psychological therapy and counseling services and learned about the essential knowledge bases required to adapt these services in support of the Bahraini and Gulf national economy in fields related to counseling psychology. The projects were evaluated by a specialized panel comprising academic experts from the University of Bahrain, along with a number of stakeholders and representatives from relevant employing organizations.
The exhibition was supervised by the course instructor, Dr. Mohammed Lakhdar Roubi, Associate Professor of Psychological Counseling and Mental Health in the Department of Psychology at the College of Arts, University of Bahrain.
The Strategic Psychological Projects course offered at the University of Bahrain is the first of its kind locally and regionally.
