University of Bahrain Introduces Staff to Best Practices on Microsoft 365
University of Bahrain staff were introduced to best practices for handling sensitive information in Microsoft 365 from a user perspective. This took place during a virtual workshop held on Microsoft Teams, organized by the Excellence Unit in Teaching and Leadership Skills at the university, in collaboration and coordination with the Information Technology Center, under the title: “Data Classification and Privacy Protection on Microsoft 365.”
The workshop, held on Thursday (December 4, 2025), provided participants with guidance on procedures to follow when restricting access due to sensitivity classifications. They learned how sensitivity labels appear in applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel, how to apply them manually, and how to identify automatically applied classifications.
The workshop was presented by Yasser Altaf Mistry, Director of Services at Noventic—a provider of security solutions and digital transformation services in the GCC countries.
