University of Bahrain Launches Enhanced Digital Inquiry Service for Official Documents

The University of Bahrain (UOB) has launched an enhanced digital inquiry service for requests related to official letters, academic transcripts, and graduation certificates as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing government initiative to improve service quality and reengineer public services.

The upgraded service enables applicants to instantly track the status of their requests through a seamless digital platform, eliminating the need to wait for email notifications. Users can access the service by logging in with Bahrain’s eKey or by entering their CPR number, university ID, and date of birth.

The enhancement has reduced the service completion time from two working days to an immediate automated process. It has also streamlined the application procedure to four steps, reduced the number of required approvals by 25 percent, and shortened the service level agreement (SLA) by 25 percent.

The service covers inquiries related to enrollment certificates, graduation requirement completion letters, graduation certificates, official academic transcripts, and degree certificates. Previously, applicants were required to submit requests via email to the Student Services Center, where each application underwent manual review before a response was issued.

UOB President Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari said the initiative reflects the University’s commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions that promote transparency and provide beneficiaries with a smooth self-service experience. He added that the enhancement improves the user experience, simplifies procedures, and supports the University’s broader digital transformation agenda through automation and unified service information across all service channels.

The initiative aligns with Bahrain’s nationwide program to modernize government services. To date, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, while over 800 services have been redesigned across government entities based on feedback received through the national Tawasul suggestions and complaints system, investor feedback, and secret shopper evaluations. These efforts have contributed to improving operational efficiency, enhancing service quality, enriching customer experience, and advancing the Kingdom’s digital transformation.
