University of Bahrain Introduces Staff to Artificial Intelligence in Education
University of Bahrain staff members participated in a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence in Education: Transforming Teaching and Learning,” organized by the university on Thursday (January 8, 2026).
Both academic and administrative staff explored how artificial intelligence is reshaping education. They were introduced to key applications of AI in teaching and learning, its role in personalized learning, and the potential for student engagement in the educational process. The workshop also addressed the ethical considerations and emerging trends guiding the responsible and effective integration of AI tools in education.
The workshop, organized by the Unit for Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL), was delivered by Dr. Habib Ebrahim Ashoor, Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, and Dr. Basma Taqi Al-Najar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the College of Science, UOB.
