University of Bahrain President Receives Regional Director from Chinese Company “Hikvision” to Discuss Areas of Joint Cooperation

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, received the Regional Director from the Chinese company “Hikvision” and his accompanying team on Monday (July 27, 2026). This visit comes within the framework of strengthening the university’s relations with international institutions and companies, and discussing opportunities for joint cooperation in academic, research, and technical fields.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Ansari welcomed the visitors, emphasizing the University of Bahrain’s eagerness to expand its network of strategic partnerships with leading global institutions, contributing to the advancement of higher education and scientific research, fostering innovation, and creating qualitative opportunities for cooperation that serve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Both sides reviewed a number of topics of common interest, discussing potential cooperation in areas such as technology, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the exchange of expertise. Discussions also covered the possibility of implementing joint research projects and organizing training programs and workshops aimed at developing the skills of students and researchers and enhancing their readiness for the labour market.

For his part, Hikvision’s Regional Director expressed his appreciation for the academic and research development witnessed by the University of Bahrain. He praised its scientific competencies and advanced educational infrastructure, confirming the company’s desire to build a fruitful partnership with the university to achieve mutual interests and open new horizons for cooperation in priority areas.

The University of Bahrain was represented by its President, along with Dr. Esra Ahmad Wali, Vice President for Partnerships and Development, and Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, Vice President for Academic Affairs. Representing “Hikvision” were Yuqing Zhonghong, Regional Director of the company, and Jiancheng Ren, Technical Director.
