University of Bahrain Marks World Sign Language Day with Interactive Learning Experience 

The University of Bahrain, represented by the Committee for Supporting Students of Determination and Special Needs and in collaboration with “enteract”, organized an interactive experience to teach the basics of sign language under the title “Let’s Communicate: A Language that brings Us Together,” in celebration of World Sign Language Day.

The experience was launched via two interactive screens on campus: the first in the College of Arts and the second in the dining hall area. It will run from September 20 to October 1, 2026.

The experience enables members of the university community to select common words and phrases used in the university environment in both Arabic and English, and watch explanatory video demonstrating how they are expressed in sign language. Users can repeat and practice the signs, encouraging the university community to learn the basics of sign language in a simple and interactive way.
